Toyota never ceases to amaze. It is hard to predict what the auto maker will do next. Toyota Venza is a model designed to offer a combination of SUV and MPV features. Though the first model was a little bigger and difficult to handle, the new Venza will be improved to offer better results than before. The new Toyota Venza 2016 will feature a better drive-train with impressive fuel economy figures.
Toyota Venza 2016 Exterior
The new 2016 Toyota Venza will feature a redesigned modern and stylish look. The body will be based on the FT-SX platform. Overall, the new body will be slimmer and more aerodynamic with unique touches, lines and shapes.
The new exterior will be more aggressive, at the front; there will be a redesigned front bumper which will be a bit narrower featuring headlights on its sides. These headlights will be powered by LED daytime running lights while the Limited trim is expected to feature Xenon lights and slightly different designed headlights. The fog lights have also been redesigned. The front also features a chrome-coated grille that adds to its aggressive look. The new Venza will run on 19-inch alloy wheels with an enlarged wheelbase.
2016 Toyota Venza Interior
The new Venza will be offered in three trim levels i.e. the LE, XLE and Limited trim level. The base version which will be the LE trim will feature standard features. These standard interior features will include Bluetooth, iPod and USB connectivity, a CD player, an automatic climate control system, a touch screen and heated seats.
The mid trim level (XLE) will feature keyless entry, front and rear cameras and seats with leather upholstery; on the other hand, the highest trim will feature a 13-speaker audio system, air conditioning, a panoramic sunroof, a navigation system and parking sensors. Engine, Spec and Fuel Consumption
Toyota has not released details on the power-train under the hood of the new Toyota Venza. However, from the information we have gathered from credible sources, the new Venza will have two engine options. The first engine will be a 2.7 L engine capable of producing up to 180 hp with 180lb-ft of torque though there are rumors that this engine might be replaced with a smaller 2.5-liter inline 4 still capable of producing 182 hp but with a better fuel economy due to its smaller displacement.
The second engine will be a 3.5 L, V6 which will produce 300 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. This engine is expected to consume less fuel since it has been modified to use Atkinson cycle when not using full power. There is also talk that future cars in this line might get a 2.0 L turbocharged engine which is being worked on in collaboration with BMW. This engine will offer 270 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque.
Both the 2.7L engine and the 3.5 l engine will be mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission system. The 2.7 L engine will have a fuel economy of 20 mpg, 26 mpg and 22 mpg for city, highway and combined while the 3.5 L engine will feature 18 mpg, 25 mpg and 21 mpg for city, highway and combined respectively. Both engines will be offered in both FWD and AWD.
